
Baked apple strudel

| 4 sheets | Filo pastry |
| a little | Melted butter |
| 2 | Granny smith apples |
| a little | Dark raisins |
| 3 Tbsp | Sugar |
| 2 Tbsp | Butter |
| a little | Dark rum |
| 1 tsp | Ground cinnamon |
Methods
- Preheat an oven to 200ºC.
- Stack up 4 sheets of filo pastry. Brush melted butter in between every sheet.
- Cut the stack of filo pastry into a rectangle. Arrange the apple filling* at the centre.
- Roll the pastry up around the apple filling into a cylindrical shape. Brush butter on the seam to seal well. Put the strudel on a greased baking tray.
- Brush melted butter on the apple strudel. Bake in the preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes until golden.
- *Method for apple filling:a)Peel, core and dice the apple.b)Heat a pan and put in sugar. Cook until light golden. Add butter.c)Cook until butter melts. Add diced apple and raisins. Cook until the apple dices turn soft. Pour in rum and ground cinnamon. Leave it to cool.
