Whole Orange Cake

Ingredients

450g plain flour
1.5 tablespoon baking powder
5 eggs
250g butter, soft
250g sugar
2 oranges
a pinch of salt

Methods

  1. Preheat the oven to 190oC.
  2. Cut orange into wedges, remove seed and blend the whole orange into puree. (add a little water to help if necessary)
  3. Cream sugar and butter.
  4. Then add beaten egg gradually.
  5. Mix in orange puree.
  6. Sieve in flour, baking powder and salt. Fold well.
  7. Pour into cake mould and bake for 50 minutes or until done.
