Baked Apple with Custard Sauce

Ingredients

4 nos Apple
50 g Raisins
2 Tbsp Brown sugar
tsp Cinnamon powder
250 ml Apple juice

Egg yolk 2 nos.
Fresh milk 250 ml
Sugar 20g
Cornstarch 1 Tbsp
Vanilla essence 1/4 tsp

Methods

  1. Remove the cores of apples.
  2. Mix raisins, brown sugar and cinnamon powder together. Stuff apple holes with raisins mixture.
  3. Place stuffed apples onto a baking tin. Pour in apple juice. Bake at Gas no. 4 for about 45 minutes.
  4. Blend egg yolk, sugar and cornstarch with little milk. Heat remaining milk.
  5. Gradually add hot water in egg yolk mixture, stir well. Pour in saucepan and cook over low heat until thickened.
  6. Take out baked apples and serve with custard sauce.
