Sauteed Beef Fillet with Sweet Bean Paste


Beef fillet240 g
Sweet green pepper and red peppereach 100 g
Chopped garlic1 tsp


Marinade: (beef fillet)
Light soya sauce1 Tbsp
Sugar1/2 tsp
Sesame oil and peppera little
Cornstarch1 tsp
Water and oileach 1 Tbsp


Sweet bean paste1 Tbsp
Shaoshing wine1 Tbsp
Water4 Tbsp
Sugar1 tsp
Cornstarch and sesame oileach 1/2 tsp


1Rinse and wipe dry beef fillet, cut across the grain into 0.5 cm thick pieces, then cut into strips; mix with marinade and set aside for 1/2 hour.
2 Deseed and rinse green and red pepper, cut into strips.
3Heat 3 tablespoons oil, fry beef fillet until almost cooked, then add chopped garlic and mix well, remove and drain.
4Heat 1 tablespoon oil in the wok, saute sauce (A) until fragrant, return beef fillet and peppers to the wok tossing well, lastly add sauce (B) and fry together. Transfer to a plate and serve.
